 “My art is spiritual to me and reflects the profound way I feel about my existence and out beautiful planet.  I love the quiet moments with nature, the contemplation of the intrinsic values.  Clients have told me they never grow tired of my paintings.  For me, that is the true success of my art, to impart the sense of well being and rejuvenation that nature provides.”

 
      Having both talent and the desire to create, are the qualities that make artists.  This is true in the case of Abdon, who was prolific in art at a very young age.  As a youth, his father and he would go fishing along Tahoe's rocky eastern shore.   Captivated by the beauty of the blue and emerald green waters, he soon traded his fishing pole for a paintbrush.  Abdon began painting on location at Lake Tahoe and other areas of spectacular beauty, such as the California coast, Hawaii and National Parks.  He has developed his own personal style,  which reflects his spiritual connection with nature.  Known for his creations in watercolor, he also paints in oils, acrylic, mixed media and collage, and in a wide variation of styles reflecting his versatility as an artist.  His creativity extends into music composition, writing and all other aspects of his life.  Abdon's work is now collected worldwide as investment quality art.  Born in 1952, a native Californian, Abdon and his wife reside in South Lake Tahoe, where they raised their two wonderful children, which they consider to be "their truest works of art."
